Chief executive of Atletico Madrid club, Miguel Angel Gil slams ATK for restricting development of club’s image and now going to break up his agreement with the club. Atletico Madrid was associated with ISL (Indian Super League) from the past consecutive three years and had achieved huge success over there. According to reports Atletico Madrid has certain disagreements and conflicts with the majority shareholders of the club and finally quits after having three successful three seasons.
Miguel Angel Gil also revealed about some other disagreements of the club with the ATK. In an interview, he said, “Since the majority holder of Atlético Kolkata does not allow the development of the image of Atlético de Madrid through our Academy in India, the club has decided to put an immediate stop to the franchise in India.” He also revealed that the club will soon going to connect their Indian fans and will surely establish branches over here to train the youngsters and future footballers.

Due to certain disagreements between Atletico Madrid and rest of the shareholders, the club decided to quit the partnership with Kolkata. With the ending of this partnership, the name of the club has been changed from Atleticó de Kolkata to Amar Tomar Kolkata.

After ending its agreement with Kolkata club Atletico Madrid had bought about 60% shares of San Luis De Potosi the Mexican club. With its involvement in the new club, the Atletico Madrid is now planning to establish its roots here. Atletico Madrid is planning to make a long-term project in Mexico and also planning to start a football academy here. Whereas, the club ATK is going to include new names with it for the season 2018.
